Carlisle sophomore Allisa Shotwell is making an early impact for the Indians, earning SWBL Athlete of the Week honors after a strong run of performances that helped fuel the team to a 5-3 start. Shotwell’s biggest game came in a 10-0 win over Brighton (N.Y.), when she went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, a double, a home run and two RBIs. She added an RBI and two stolen bases in an 11-1 win over Archbishop Ryan (Pa.), and later delivered a triple, an RBI and a run scored in a 6-0 league-opening victory over Brookville. On the season, Shotwell is batting .400 with three doubles, two triples, two home runs, eight RBIs and five stolen bases, emerging as a key spark in Carlisle’s lineup.
Dawson Watts
Senior, Monroe Baseball
Monroe senior Dawson Watts is helping power the Hornets’ unbeaten start, earning SWBL Athlete of the Week honors with strong two-way play. Watts is hitting .455 with five RBIs while also dominating on the mound, striking out 12 over five shutout innings in a win. Behind his production, Monroe has opened the season 5-0 and emerged as an early contender in the SWBL.
