Junior, Middletown Madison Basketball

Junior helped the Mohawks continue their hot streak (4-1 in last five games) by reaching double-figures in scoring for the fifth straight game with a double-double (12 points and 10 rebounds) in a 37-33 win over Carlisle. Also had 18 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Preble Shawnee, 17 points and eight rebounds in a win over Brookville, 12 points in a win over Eaton and 11 points in a loss to Oakwood. Averaging 9.3 points and 4.9 rebounds.


Ty Fritz

Sophomore, Valley View Basketball

Sophomore dominated as the Spartans staked a claim as the SWBL’s top team with back-to-back wins over Oakwood and Franklin. Had 17 points, 17 rebounds, two steals and three assists, including one on the game-winning basket with 2.2 seconds to go, in the 64-61 win over Oakwood at The Pit. Following night had 18 points, 14 rebounds and five assists against Franklin in a narrow 74-73 victory.  Leads the SWBL in rebounding (12.7) and blocks (2.5) and is fifth in scoring (16.6). First team All-SWBL selection last year when he led the league in rebounding (10.5) and blocks (3.2). Has 22 career double-doubles (12 this season).
