Myla Roberts

Eaton senior Myla Roberts has been named a Southwestern Buckeye League Athlete of the Week following a huge offensive week that helped the Eagles remain unbeaten in league play. Roberts totaled four goals and five assists in two victories last week, accounting for 13 points. The senior forward/midfielder delivered three goals and four assists for 10 points as Eaton rolled past Milton-Union 12-2 on Tuesday. Roberts took eight shots, putting five on goal, while playing a role in seven of the Eagles’ 12 goals. Roberts followed that performance with another big outing Thursday in a key SWBL Buckeye Division matchup against Waynesville. She scored a goal and added an assist for three points as Eaton edged the Spartans 3-2. Roberts finished with seven shots, including four on goal. Through nine matches this season, Roberts has seven goals and 11 assists for 25 points. She has 45 goals and 32 assists for 122 points in 54 career matches with the Eagles. Roberts’ production has helped Eaton establish itself as one of the top teams in the SWBL Buckeye Division as the Eagles head into the second half of the season.

Noel Albarran

Talawanda senior Noel Albarran has earned Southwestern Buckeye League Athlete of the Week honors after continuing his standout season for the Brave. Albarran, a forward/midfielder, has scored 13 goals and added three assists for 29 points through six reported games this season. He ranks second in the SWBL in both goals and total points. His production has helped Talawanda remain unbeaten at 8-0-1 overall and tied atop the SWBL Southwestern Division standings with a 1-0-1 league record. The Brave defeated Franklin 3-0 on Tuesday before battling Ross to a 2-2 draw Thursday. Albarran has already surpassed his combined goal production from his sophomore and junior seasons. He entered this season with five career goals and now has 18 goals and five assists for 41 career points in statistics reported to the SWBL.
